The Commission on Teacher Credentialing issues various types of credentials, certificates, and permits. Many of these documents require renewal on a regular basis. It is the credential holder's responsibility to complete the requirements for the renewal of their document. The renewal code(s) and renewal requirement(s) for each credential, certificate, and permit were printed on the face of the document until September 1, 2008. Since that date, all documents issued by the Commission are available only in a view and print format, available on the Commission's website.
Here are some examples of where the renewal code can be found on your credential if it was issued prior to September 1, 2008:

Certificate of Eligibility Administrative Services Credential
The holder of this Certificate of Eligibility has completed the college or university program and all other requirements for the preliminary Administrative Services Credential and is authorized to seek employment in an administrative position. The preliminary credential will be issued if the holder maintains his or her valid prerequisite credential and submits (1) this Certificate, (2) verification of employment in an administrative position on a form provided by the Commission, and (3) an application form and appropriate fee to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. The fee for the preliminary credential has been established at one-half of the application fee in effect at the time the application is submitted, but only if this original Certificate is included with the application. If this original Certificate does not accompany the application for the preliminary credential, the holder may not claim the fee credit and must pay the full application fee.
